Our education program is Christ-centered. Simply put, this means that we focus on ensuring that our kids are able to develop a personal relationship with God, use the principles found in the Bible to understand God’s character and what He says about their value, how to treat themselves and others, and how to navigate the world at large.
These concepts are infused into everything we do and teach so our kids are continually building character.
Producing students who are well spoken is an added benefit of our school culture.
It begins with daily devotionals during homeroom, where students alternate leading out in these brief worship sessions with their classmates
They are exposed to a wider audience by participating in some aspect of weekly Chapel, an Assembly session with the entire student body.
Finally, they progress to organizing and leading out in BI Days – a monthly takeover of a local church service – or seasonal weeks of spiritual emphasis.
This stepped approach gives students ample opportunity to become comfortable and coherent speaking before others.
Music is a vital part of our worship and devotional sessions and most of our students learn to cultivate a deep appreciation for it. By extension, those who are particularly gifted or inclined have a ready outlet to express their talents and many take part in our choir and band classes, form small choral groups or music ensembles, solo and even write and perform their own works! Music is so ingrained in our culture that we have even built a state of the art music studio on campus.
